Our goal is to provide an inclusive and affordable training program for focused on skill development and increasing basketball IQ during the fall and winter seasons. We aim to foster a supportive environment that emphasizes fundamental skills, strategic understanding of the game, and personal growth, ensuring every player has the opportunity to enhance their abilities and love for basketball.
4th-6th Grade: Focus on fundamental skills (dribbling, passing, shooting) and basic game concepts.
7th-8th Grade: Introduce more advanced skills and strategies, with an emphasis on teamwork and game scenarios.
High School: Focus on position-specific skills, advanced tactics, and preparation for competitive play.
Frequency: Consider holding sessions 2 time a month (mostly Sundays)
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours per session.
Season Length: Plan for a winter program (December-February).
Fundamentals: Dribbling, shooting, passing, defense.
Conditioning: Agility drills, strength training, endurance exercises.
Position-Specific Training: Tailor sessions for small guards, big guards and forwards.
High School and Varsity Players: will not scrimmage due to their high school seasons.
Middle School Scrimmages: Regular intrasquad games to apply skills in real situations.
Situational Drills: Focus on specific game scenarios
Encourage communication and collaboration through team-building exercises.
Introduce leadership roles among players (session captains, drill leaders).
Experienced coaches have been recruited who can mentor and inspire young athletes.
Coaches understand age-appropriate training methods.
Training sessions provide resources to help coaches stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and strategies.
Regularly evaluate player progress through skill assessments and feedback sessions.
Use player and parent surveys to gather input on the program’s effectiveness.
Be open to making changes based on feedback to ensure the program meets the needs of the players.
This structured approach should help you create a comprehensive and engaging training program that empowers young female athletes.

EYBL programs now have the exciting opportunity to expand their community footprint by hosting It’s Her Shot clinics. These clinics are designed to uplift and empower young female athletes through skill development, mentorship, and community engagement.
These clinics are completely free to attend, and participants will receive clinic shirts and other giveaways.
This national platform empowers athletes to lead with purpose, inspire the next generation, and make a lasting impact in their local communities.
