The 17th Annual Basketball on the Bayou is proud to announce that it will be hosted in the Downtown New Orleans Convention Center. Last year we hosted over 300 teams and 500 college coaches/scouts in the beautiful downtown New Orleans at the Morial Convention Center. This year we will do it all over again under one roof with over 29 courts for 3 days from Monday, July 20th – Monday, July 22nd.
Basketball on the Bayou is one of the few events that historically brings together the nation’s elite programs from the Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Mike White, PBR, Independent circuits. Our alumni list includes current prep stars: Kalani Brown, Tierra McCowan, Kaila Charles, LaShann Higgs, Chennedy Carter, Jordan Nixon, Asia Durr, Lauren Cox, Rennia Davis, DiDi Richards, Zaay Green, Juicy Landrum, as well as some former great prep stars now Collegiate or Pro stars: Aja Wilson, Brittany Griner, Maya Moore, Alaina Coates, Odyssey Sims, Kelsey Bone, Moriah Jefferson, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, Tiffany Hayes, Erica Wheeler just to name a few.

Coaches and Athletes that register MUST comply with all NCAA regulations. Every Coach must be licensed in the NEW system for 2019. Your license obtained last year is no longer Valid. In order to be eligible to coach at NCAA-certified events obtain your USA Basketball Gold License link.

ALL TEAMS REGARDLESS OF AFFILIATION ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN ALL DIVISIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT.
All teams must arrive Friday, July 19th or Saturday, July 20th for mandatory coaches registration and certification.

Basketball on the Bayou is Stay to Play. In order to be eligible to compete in the event, all of your hotel reservations must be made and completed through RBA Travel.

You will not be considered apart of the event if you do not complete your entire hotel booking through RBA Travel.
All teams must stay in hotels booked through RBA Travel. There will be an additional charge of$300.00 per team that does not stay in an assigned hotel booked only through RBA Travel. NO EXCEPTIONS
The team(s) will not be considered apart of the event if hotel room reservations are not completed for the team and parents entirely through RBA Travel.

SHUTTLE SERVICES are offered by various companies throughout the city for travel to and from the airport. Also available for travel to various areas around the cities. You will need to contact them on your own.
The Convention Center does provide parking at $15 a day (no overnight parking allowed). Parking on the street is free after 7pm.
Many of the hotels downtown are within walking distance to the convention center.
There is also a street car service that runs through out the downtown area. The streetcar stop is at the Hilton Hotel adjacent to the convention center.
There is space for buses to drop off and pick teams, but bus parking is more expensive and you will have to make arrangements on your own.(www.mccno.com/about-us/maps-directions)
