The 16th Annual Basketball on the Bayou is proud to announce that it will be hosted in the Downtown New Orleans Convention Center. Last year we hosted over 300 teams and 400 college coaches/scouts in the beautiful downtown New Orleans at the Morial Convention Center. This year we will do it all over again under one roof with over 28 courts for 3 days from Monday, July 23rd – Wednesday, July 25th.
Basketball on the Bayou is one of the few events that historically brings together the nation’s elite programs from the Nike, Adidas, Mike White, PBR, ect. circuits. Our alumni list includes current prep stars: Aja Wilson, Alaina Coates, Asia Durr, Lauren Cox, Sierra Calhoun, Brook McCarty, Shakayla Thomas as well as some former great prep stars now Collegiate or Pro stars: Brittany Griner, Maya Moore, Odyssey Sims, Kelsey Bone, Moriah Jefferson, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, Tiffany Hayes, just to name a few.

ALL TEAMS REGARDLESS OF AFFILIATION ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN ALL DIVISIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT.

Basketball on the Bayou is Stay to Play. In order to be eligible to compete in the event, all of your hotel reservations must be made and completed through RBA Travel.

All teams must stay in hotels booked through RBA Travel. There will be an additional charge of $300.00 per team that does not stay in an assigned hotel. NO EXCEPTIONS

For teams that would like to get a practice in and get a feel of the facility and courts.
All reservations must be made by July 20th. SPACE IS LIMITED
Your reservation confirms exactly 1 hour use of one Full Court at the Convention Center. 2 hour max reservations per team.
We advise that teams be prepared to begin practice 10 minutes before scheduled court time.
Each team is responsible for bringing their own basketballs.

SHUTTLE SERVICES are offered by various companies throughout the city for travel to and from the airport. Also available for travel to various areas around the cities. You will need to contact them on your own.
The Convention Center does provide parking at $10 a day (no overnight parking allowed).
Many of the hotels downtown are within walking distance to the convention center.
There is also a street car service that runs through out the downtown area. The streetcar stop is at the Hilton Hotel adjacent to the convention center.
There is space for buses to drop off and pick teams, but bus parking is more expensive and you will have to make arrangements on your own.(www.mccno.com/about-us/maps-directions)
